The image, from our first test, shows a reflection pattern of a shock wave moving at Mach 1.6 through an abrupt area change recorded in our shock tube using schlieren photography. We have so many exciting plans for fundamental and applied shock tube related research and are looking to recruit M.Sc and Ph.D. students.
